Sebastopol Geese

I have several Sebastopol Geese that free range on our property. I think they are just awesome looking birds. They are friendly and gentle birds that follow me around the yard, and nibble on my clothes and fingers.

2007 I only hatched out 1 baby..... His name is "Solo"
Photos taken at 1 week old and 1 month old.

Solo at 2 months old..... and again at 4 months old.

I purchased 2 colored Sebastopol babies in May 07. One is a light Grey, the other is a Blue Splash. They are feathering out just beautiful!!!

Sebastopol geese are medium-sized geese. They are a mild-mannered breed... sometimes shy. What makes them special is their fancy feathering. They grow long hanging feathers that spiral down their backs and wings. They have orange bills, orange feet, and beautiful blue eyes lined in orange. The gander weighs approximately twelve to fourteen pounds. The goose weighs ten to twelve pounds. Sebastopols originated in Europe.

Piles of fluff.
